Celebrities United to Save Lennox

Lennox the dog was seized from his home in Belfast in May 2010 after a town dog warden visually assessed him to be a “pit bull type,” took him into custody and ordered him to be killed by the county veterinarian. Dog wardens claimed that Barnes had violated Northern Ireland’s “Dangerous Dogs Act,” in spite of the fact that Lennox had shown no aggressive behavior towards anyone, and the fact that his owner Caroline Barnes had him licensed, neutered and safely penned in her backyard. Since that day, Lennox has spent over 500 days in county custody, has been denied a single visit from his family and has been photographed being held in filthy, prison-like conditions…
